Please not that retreat is NOT A VACATION, it is also not a TOURISTIC EXCURSION; while we will see some incredible sites, the main purpose of this trip is RESEARCH and TRAINING.

COMMUNITY BABOON SANCTUARY

LAMANAI MAYAN ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE
Today we will explore the Lamanai Archeological Site in Orange Walk district through walking and by boat. Followed by a road trip to San Ignacio and overnight stay at Crystal Paradise Resort.

CARACOL MAYAN SITE & RIO
The largest Maya city ever excavated in Belize, Caracol is a huge site that features majestic temples that modern visitors can climb to enjoy a spectacular view of the surrounding Chiquibul forest reserve. Let's uncover more of its secrets.
DAY 4 October 21, 2022
ACTUN TUNICHIL MUKNAL CAVES
Actun Tunichil Muknal is a cave that the Mayans used for ceremonial purposes, dating back to around 900 AD. According to Maya lore, Actun Tunichil Muknal (known locally as “ATM”) connects the world of the living to Xibalba, the Maya underworld.

HOPKINS VILLAGE GARINAGU
Visit the "friendliest village in Belize with its rustic local beach vibe and amazing hospitality industry. Followed by a bioluminescense tour at night and fishing.
DAY 6: October 23, 2022
Fly to Caye Caulker to snorkle at hol chan marine reserve. Stay at the Island Magic hotel Caye Caulker Village.

Safety
Belize is a very safe place in terms of politics, natural disasters and very low Covid cases. Our host will pick you up and drop you off at the airport. We will be accompanied by our host and tour guide on all our travels, having very minimum contact with other people.

Payment Policy
DEPOSITS
The first deposit of $500 is due before or on August, 2022, the second $$$ is due before or on August 31, 2022, the last $$$ is due on Sept 15, 2022
Late fee $45 will be applied for failing to meet each deadline.
Cancellation fees are determined by the following schedule:
• If you cancel more than 90 days before your retreat start date, 100% of your payment may be applied to another Retreat.
• If you cancel 60 – 89 days before your retreat start date, 75% of your payment may be applied to another Retreat. You will forfeit 25% of the price of your retreat.
• If you cancel 15 – 59 days before your retreat start date, 40% of your payment may be applied to another Retreat. You will forfeit 60% of the price of your retreat.
• If you cancel 14 days or less before your retreat start date, you will forfeit your entire payment.
Exceptions to our policy cannot be made for any reason. We do not offer credit for a guest arriving late or leaving early.
In case of Force Major (ex: pandemic) the entire trip will be moved to another date (we will find the date that works for every member of the group)
